Well forget about that house they nearly doubled the rent on it today. Went from 10k pesos a month to 16k.

I wonder if they took one look at you and saw an opportunity, it seems it's rife out there!

Maybe keep a very low profile when looking at potential properties, or anything else for that matter, even stay at home and let your other half view them. She could probably seal the deal at the original asking price?

That's what we are thinking, since it's on Facebook, looked at Cristines Facebook and saw me and decided to apply the "foreign tax"

Maybe go back with a counter offer, negotiation is part of life in SE Asia.
