I remember hearing of one cichlid in a talk that lived on salt flats in 100 degree water with 10 ph water that would die of relative hypothermia if they went any lower than sauna temps, and survived off of cannibalism and the bugs that would reproduce in the flats. I feel like said fish was something in the alcolapia genus, but I am not sure. Anyone know what I'm thinking of?

Alcolapia alcalicas, come from the soda lake, Lake Natron, it is saltier than the ocean, temps in the 90sF.
There are a few species in the genus.
I kept mine in temp in the high 80sF, in hard, high pH (@8) alkaline water with salt added to 3 ppt salinity, where they did well and spawned.
