Nope just went back and looked in my photo buck and I don't have any of him. I have a bunch when it was set up with uaru (I miss them) and when it was frontosa which is what I had for the last three years until a couple weeks ago

So I finally get to fulfill my dream of having a large (tax-deductible) tank in my own dental office!

I have a couple companies working on quotes for different shapes, but it will def be a corner tank, 48"x 48" x 30". Just not sure if it will be curved (quarter cylinder), or triangular/pentagonal. Leaning towards non-curved even before I see the prices, since I'm a bit worried about distortion as well.

As far as stock, I am leaning towards geos with a few other cichlids, but open to suggestions. I def want at least one large fish, but I don't want to go the route of all aggressive cichlids.

These are the species I've narrowed it down to, but how would you stock it?

Large Cichlid:
Robertsoni
Synspilum
Oscar (prob not a good idea?)
Red Spotted Severum

Medium Cichlids:
EBJD
Blue Acara
Nicaraguense
Sajica

Geos:
Orange Head Tapajos
Maybe an Altifrons, Heckelli, or couple Winemilleri mixed in

Dithers:
No idea
Have you decided on anything yet ?

Didn't expect this thread to get so popular, but like I think I posted earlier, I cleared up a wall so I'm going with a 7ft standard tank, 265 gallons.

I def want an Oscar and some red head geos, but with the long footprint, I can do other large cichlids too.

Bocourti, Severum, and Green Texas are my top picks at this time, but it will prob be another month or two until I can drop the money to get the tank. I think a moderate growing pike would be really cool, but maybe that's asking for trouble, haha.

Never heard much about argentea, I'll look them up!

So I finally got my tank! It ended up being a 215. Here are some pics, I added a baby pair of sajica and wild blue acara so far. Going to do geos and one other large cichlid, probably bocourti.

Not yet, but I haven't searched that hard. I figure I can get the bocourti last since it will probably grow the fastest. Have to give the other fish a chance in case it's aggressive. How are they with plants? And will columbian/lemon tetras be safe? They don't seem to have huge mouths like oscars
