Has this picture actually been authenticated as a smallmouth bass? IDK, It kinda looks photoshopped.

I'm actually growing out a smb right now and the dorsal fin doesn't look like that at all

In this area I have never caught any fish aside from SMB. What would you identify this fish as?

For the most part, I would also say smb, but from that picture it just looks odd.

I lived on Kauai for 5 years, never heard about smb, just lmb and pbass

Well, Hawaii have trout and smb so obviously the water ain't that tropical.

It's just a SMB, I've seen few SMB with that dorsal fin before. Believed to be male.

Yeah, water from mountain streams are fairly cool
