HI GUYS, FINNALLY GOT GLASS IN, NOW GOTTA FASTEN TOP FRAME IN.
BEEN BUSY BUT GOTTA FOCUSS IF ITS GOING TO GET WET BY XMAS.
HAS ANYONE HAD ANY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH PLASTIC CONTAINERS USED AS SUMPS ETC IE: BAD SMELLS

This looks killer, i like the port windows on the sides and the backing is wild, cant wait to see it get wet. Deffently a good job-nice work-should be proud, and you fish will love this set up. keep working...Were all waiting for next up date.

TOP ON, AND THE FOAM IS A POLYURETHANE USED IN THE MARINE INDUSTRY, GOT IT FROM A FREIND, DON'T KNOW MANUFACTURER.

Hi guys, does anyone have a opinion on the need for a strainer type fitting on my overflows? They're 2x 2" pvc elbows facing straight down.

Depends on your fish, really. I have 3, 2" couplings as my overflows, and I just run an eggcrate screen over them... although I've had a loach escape into the sump even through that. Before that, I had a long 2" pipe with holes drilled in it, but it was ugly, and I wanted to skim from the surface.
