I just received two baby Giant Gourami's about a month ago. Water param's are perfect and temp is right at 79-82. Both just died within the last 24 hours. I'm so bummed out. I can never find babies in my area and finally did an then this happens. Their diet was flakes. shrimp. blood worms and small pellets. Any insight as to why this might have happened? I was also wondering about tips for distributors online that sell them? I have a large tank currently cycling and they had a whole 75 to grow out in. Any ideas guys. I am so enamoured by these fish was glad to finally acquire some. I will try again. Just need to find them. Thanks.

Can you explain more about what happened, did you just find them dead or was there any symptoms before hand? It would help with a possible diagnosis.

WOW, I really want a red tail GG. I like the red in their tail they look so nice, to bad nobody has them here in Va. I managed to get one but not a RTGG. Real nice dude.

The dorsal is more slender and is and starts more towards the head

He is a Girl! Please put a substrate in the tank so that it will be much much clearer :irked:, I will never understand why people keep BB aquariums.

Sorry I disagree, it looks to be a female to me, though a clearer shot of the head would make it easier to tell for sure.
