Drip System Float Switch.

Is there any reason this wont work?
It is measured to turn a drain pump on when the water reaches ~8" above the main pumps, and shut it off when the water level gets ~2" above the main pumps. The bio media will only have an inch submersed at max 1". I don't want to install it until it gets MFKs blessing.

The sump it will be hanging in is a standard 55g tank. I have it hanging on the outside of my 110 for display. The suction cups are there to hold it in place when it's in the sump. Thanks in advance!

That's just the switch part. The pump is a little quiet one that I'll throw in the sump. I didn't have room for a full sump pump.

Can you link me to one? The only ones I could find were either on or off, and they didn't have an adjustable range.

It will be ok, at the highest level the sump will be able to hold all of the water that would continue to flow in the case of a power failure. (I think that's what you're asking lol)
