Got a good
amount of work done the last 2 days. Its 8 x 6 x3 with 2 inches of foam on the sides and bottom, a 45 mil liner and 1600 gph pump are due tomorrow, we"ll see. Filter is a diy 3 bin sterilite cabinet with spray bars also will run a spare xp3 filled with scrubbies.
Planning on a tsn and/or channel cat.

looks good man.
where are the kitties coming from and why not a red tail cat or red tail/tsn cross? i think you'll get way bored with a channel and or tsn, channels don't have much of a personality and tsn aren't very personable like the red tails are.
also that tank is over 1000 gallons, don't you think more water circulation would be nice? and maybe a bigger filteration sytem? i run 1600 gallons per hour on my 300 gallon and i feel i could still use more.

weenee i love the picture. But i also agree with the posts that the above two have made. For the fish to be stay healthy and happy, there has to be lots of circulation.

I am thinking of a rtc x tsn hybrid , and yes I will add another pump or powerhead for good water movement.. Thanks for the advice..

What did you pay for that pump? I think that you are getting yourself into a mess wih just 1600gph of filtration (and the canister...) on this HUGE tank.

I would go with a reeflo barracuda or hammerhead. Inexpensive for their size and quality, american made, motors.
