I have one oscar and a pair of Red Devils in that tank.
I wanna put about 4 convicts in that tank and let them breed
So that the fish will ahve a continuous source of fry.
Does anyone see any error or suggestions?

red devil and oscar....bad mojo

haha really?
Well what do you think about my idea?

2 pairs of convicts is asking for trouble. They can defend themselves well enough for the sake of their fry and territory. If I were you, do it in another tank, not the tank where there are other inhabitants in it. On another note, your tank cannot handle two large fish. Keep only one. It is either the oscar or RD for you.

when the RD's get bigger, ur O's arent gonna be safe, the RD's will prob evenn fight with eachother

two pair of convicts aren't going to produce enough fry to keep a half grown O or a half grown RD well fed. I have a RD and an O in an aquarium together. my female RD doesn't even come close to living up to her reputation. my cons breed from time to time, but the fry don't last two days after they become "free swimmers"

One question I have for you, I have read all your previous posts, and I'm just wondering what good can come from these ideas of combos you have? A 55g is like bare minimum for one oscar, oscar and devil= badness to come, oscar + piranha = death for oscar, 2 pairs of convicts will not happen when they begin breeding!! Convicts have been known to kill oscars with relative ease and I'm sure a young red devil would not fare too well either. IMO a step back is needed and you need to decide which direction you want to go in... keep the one oscar and some small dithers/bottom feeders, the red devil with some others, or a pair of cons etc, or one piranha. GL with whatever you decide, but you need to remember all these fish have different personalities and aggression levels, the oscar is fairly mellow, convicts are always edgy and when breeding are crazy, and red devils in general have high aggression levels all the time.

Is the 55 a grow out or your only tank option?
