haha. ok. they can be aggressive if u dont feed them well. They are real tank busters who dont give two tosses abt who or what they ram into. i took abt 3 years to get them to their current size.(u've seen mine). Eats pellets most of the time. Generally peaceful bt shows some predatory instincts when i throw in feeders. Then there was the time we dropped in a dying, fist sized goldfish. None of the other monsters could take it. The paroon swam over...took a look at the dying/panicking goldfish.....and ate the entire thing in one mouthful.
they also get very territorial when paired off. i had three paroons initially. when two of them decided to hook up, they spent everyday, day in, day out...just beating up an equal sized paroon. U will have never seen a fish shed so much weight in ur life. The outcast died. In the process of chasing and beating up the outcast...apparently, there was some collateral damage. Over the whole month where the fights were occuring...we found a couple of dead fishes, whose bodies were in pristine conditions, with only ruptured eyes to show for anything. We kinda deduced that the Paroons rammed them while on the chase.
Another thing. Paroons have teeth. Believe it. I got bitten.
