Fly Fishing thread

Wow thats tough!
An 8 weight is huge for bluegill but it may work. What wt. is the line??? The 8 wt. is great for bass though.
The fly you described sounds an awefull lot like a glo bug. Which is good for trout and panfish i would not use it for bass though. Post pics of your flies.
Latshki my book says that fry imitations, streamers or anything garish.
I have no experience with them though.

well yeah my fly rod that broke was an old albright that they dont make anymore...and im uploading them now.

So did you go out there yet? I'm sure any of those small dry flies would work for panfish. Just give them a shot.

yep so i went and i pulled in a bunch of bluegill 2 3" bass and a 5" perch. im soo pissed i didnt have a bucket!

Awesome man. You were using the 8wt rod? How did that work?

Any updates from us Fly fishermen? I've just shipped all of my equipment and gear out to a friends place in Couer' d' layne Idaho. I fly out next week and we'll be hitting Clark Fork up for some Cutthroat and Brown trout! I can't wait!
