A fellow member has a tank similar to mine and wanted to see what I had for filtration. So I thought this would be a cool idea to see the filtration set ups out there. Please list tank size and give a detailed overview of your filtration. This is a pic thread so we're looking to see pics.....especially if you have a wet/dry and sump, or even drip system. However, if you use cannisters and don't want to take pics be sure to list anyways (we all know what cannisters look like but pics are always cool).

This the current set up for my 750 gal:Yes I know my plumbing could be cleaner and it will when I add some other components listed later.

(2) 1.25" ID drain lines feed a massive wet/dry that holds 6,000 1.5" bio balls. (I know, because I put them all in there)
Water is then pulled from the wet/dry's sump via (2) Little Giant pumps through .75" ID tubing into (3) tallboy Lifegard Cannisters. 2 of which hold (2) 250w Jager heaters each. (total of 4 heaters). The 3rd cannister holds carbon and has a pressure gauge mounted up top. From the cannisters, water is returned through the bottom of the tank, up through the tower and out some side piping from the tower.

My future plans for this set up is to:
-Add in an Aqua 80w UV sterilizer (which I already have and pictured)
-Add a high volume air pump system.
-Fill the tower with bio balls.
-Also planning on putting in valves in each of the wet/dry intake lines.
Doing this so I can make water back up into the tower and create less of the "waterfall" sound as it's currently dropping a good 3.5'. Also for ease of maintenance on the wet dry.

****Note***Not filter related, but look at the flooring under my stand. It's thick fiberboard wrapped in some heavy gauge rubber that I found at Home depot. It's supposed to go under shower stalls to prevent water damage. It works awesome when you're messing around with the wet/dry or plumbing and get some water spillage. Easy clean up and won't soak into the wood or carpet. It's made by "Oatey" if any one's interested in looking into buying some.

nice tank, i like the lights^^

what kind of fish do you have in there?
Thanks :)

7 VATFs
1 Jardini
1 Chaca Chaca cat
4 Striped Rapheals
1 Frontosa
2 Senegals
2 Endlis
1 Delhezi
1 Lima cat
1 Marbled Headstander
2 other cichlids (not sure what kind)

The reason you don't see a whole lot of ornamentation is for my African Tiger Fish. They are incredibly fast swimmers and tall pieces of driftwood and plants would only be a hinderance.

So does any one want to post thier filtration set up?

Are those all UV's??
No, only the pic with the PVC like pipe is the UV and that's not even installed yet.

The lights pictured in the tank are actually "underwater pond aquascaping lights" . I call them the "wind down lights" as I use these when the bright lights go out and before my night lights come on. They're actually really neat.
You can interchange the lenses for different color effects. Currently there's 3 of those lights and they're suction cupped to the undeside of the lids (1 is behind the tower and you can't see it but it has a green lense-which wasn't on in this pic) The lights pictured have the amber lenses in them which I think looks really cool in person.
