My wild male notatus is a pimp!
There are four wild notatus severums in this tank -- one male and three females. One of the females came from John (snookn21); the trio came from Peter (peathenster).
The male has spawned with all of the females at some point but he didn't do his job properly. Finally, this week he got the fertilizing right and I found wrigglers yesterday.
Tonight I went to check on him and there was trouble in paradise. The female was chasing him off and being pretty rough with him. I found out why -- he spawned with a second female on the opposite side of the tank and now he's helping her fan eggs. LOL.
Apologies for the dirty tank... the water is clean but I quit wiping down the algae on the walls last week. It seems to make them feel more secure. It looks like it worked.
Anyone want some notatus fry? I think I'm going to grow these out.
