with help from cichladog we have turned the sheets of polypropylene ( 0.5 inch) and a piece of plexi (1.5 inch) left over from the tank conversion project into a 1000 gallon tank ( 48x48x96 inside= 957.5 us gallons ...i know) to replace the old sump and filter box from the 2400 gallon system....
all the heaters and filters are still running.........just have to swap out the tanks
all the polypro sheets were heat welded together and the plexi was siliconed in placed as shown.........
dow 832 silicone and dow 1205 primer were used after the surfaces were sanded for better adhesion.........tank has been leak tested and ready to install.
ss cage keeps it all together ( 1x3x.120 inch tubing)
