Fishing in Orlando FL - May 3rd and 4th (Saturday and Sunday)
May 3rd - Saturday
Saturday we will meet at Wekwia Marina at 9:15-20ish, The park opens at 9:30am. I would like everyone to be there by then please so we can get the rentals and start fishing. We will be renting kayaks/canoes and heading upstream to fish Wekwia so the river will drift us back to the Marina when we are ready. The Marina also has a restaurant which Chompers has confirmed is open. Once we are done at Wekiwa we will head out to The Aquarium and Aquatic Ecosystems and then Fishy business.

If you are coming from Tampa you can follow these directions (just get to I-4 and follow these):
1.I-4 East toward Daytona Beach
2.Take the SR-434 exit 94 to Longwood/Winter Springs
3.Turn left on SR-434 and go 0.2 miles
4.Turn right at Wekiva Springs Rd and go 3.3 miles
5.Turn right at Miami Springs Dr and go 0.2 miles
6.Turn right at end of road into Wekiva Marina
If you are coming from Daytona area follow these:
1.I-4 west toward Orlando
2.Take the SR-434 exit 94 to Longwood/Winter Springs
3.Turn right on SR-434 and go 0.2 miles
4.Turn right at Wekiva Springs Rd and go 3.3 miles
5.Turn right at Miami Springs Dr and go 0.2 miles
6.Turn right at end of road into Wekiva Marina
May 4th (Sunday):
Sunday we will probably Fish the Econ river. We will meet at the river, there is a post office on Econolochatechee (sp) (Econ) Rd. There is also a big building next to the post office and if you enter right before the bridge (sorta at the start of it) and at the end of that building parking lot there is a turn and that will take you to an area to park next to the river. We will meet at 8:30 am (if this doesn't work just let me know).
If my boyfriend gets work off that day we will also fish his lake (he doesn't live to far form Econ).
If you are coming up 50 heading west, turn right onto Econ and then make a right into the little road after the post office and the other building.
If you are coming from 50 going east, turn left onto econ and then right onto the side entrance.
If you are coming from University East- make a left onto Econ and go all the way down and right before 50, as you go down the bridge make a left into the little entrance.
If you are coming from University West -make a right onto Econ. Go down until you almost reach 50 and once you cross over the bridge make a left into the little entrance.
If you are from out of town it will be easier to give you directions over the phone or PM, so I know where you will be coming from, so contact me for that.
