anyone know of these breeding? i have a pair going to lay eggs tonight or tommorrow the way its looking. i was told a red snook isnt genetically capable of breeding with it but ive read on this forum some time ago some breed a snook with a cichlid. i think it was a convict or managuense and they had fry. any input would be appreciated. thanks. heres a short video of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu3MKxdILXc

well i guessed right. they layed the eggs about 20 -30 mins ago. im going to keep my eye on them since there is other fish in the tank including a buttikoferi. i took one pic of the fish and eggs and my batts went dead. im going to give it about another 20-30 mins to make sure there done and pull the eggs. ill try to find some more batteries and take another picture of the rock once i move them to a 10 gallon. guess ill know in a couple days if it works. wish me luck.

Sounds like snooks will spawn with other species. Interesting to say the least. Good luck with the eggs.

SWEEEEEET! I'm not partial to snooks at all :D. I hope your snook is a better first time fertilizer than mine was, because I'm excited to see these guys! You can start your sold list right here by the way ;):D.

update! well this is the longest time wait time ive seen before i got wigglers. i pulled the trimac and snooks eggs at 8:00 pm monday night and they did not wiggle until around 8:00 this morning but now im pumped that they breeded succesfully. now the long grow out period begins. cant wait to see what they look like when they get big.

Very cool. Excited to see what develops. Trimac and Snooks sounds like a winning combination. I am hoping to spawn my snooks so day to some thing.
