Good luck with water changes when he gets bigger. Mine is about 12 inches long and I have to hold him back with a pond net so he doesn't attack the siphon tube. Sounds ridic, but when I was pulling the siphon tube out one day, he attacked the end of it (squeezing his mouth and head inside)and it left a huge gash right by his eye. I have no choice but to do so cause I consider him close to perfect specimen.
Oh so sorry to hear, mine came from my brother's spawn. He has had 9 frys with around 190-220 each and has had a lot survive, but his female was found dead the other day. She was around 13" not sure what happend. He wanted to cut down on the frys so he added a 8" pleco and the jags would beat the pleco til thier lips were bare white from the eco-skeleton. Post some pics then you'll be co-founder.
Hey these are some pics of my jags,
I've got 6 altogether, 1 Dominant Alpha male 8inches, 2 that were so brutally beat up by the Alpha male had to be re-housed seperately(because they then fought eachother)1 5inches and the other 61/2inches...
And another 3 in a different tank probably about 3-4inches...
