changed to a jet pump today from my magdrive.
on my 180 so far so good took a nap and woke up to.
all but 3 fish dead both my chock plec and rino plec and mt male GT survived soraf i have them in a QT tank.
chexcked the water and is as fallows
nitrite 0
nitrate 5.0
PH 7.0
ammonia 0.50

so i draind the tank and sump and washed it all down and started over
mag drive will be used

oh my gosh! im so sorry for your loss! what happened? guess i dont understand if your water parameters are great what went wrong??

i think it was the pump putting to much oxygen in the water the tank had millions of air bubbels i thought it would settel down but that was a wrong thought

I doubt that air bubbles are what caused all your fish to die. Something else had to have killed them. Sorry for your loss.

only thing i can figgure is if it wasnt all the oxy bubbles the pump may have had a contaminate in it i didnt git washed out
i run it for 2 hours on my well to clean it out mabe it didnt get it all 2who knows i will miss spongebob my O got him when he was an 1" big

you ran it on your well first, then put it in the tank? oh crap. im guessing you put heavy metals in the tank water. the pump was contaminated and thats how your fish died.. how sad! i wouldnt use that one on a fishtank again-unless you want more dead fish!

sorry for the loss.. its those little things we sometimes dont think about that get us.
