Depends on how much media is in the XP3.

Could you remove the media from the XP3 and place it in the sump and then use the xp3 as a makeshift return pump?

I dont need to feed them-They will be fine for a few days atleast.....

My only hope might be to place an order somewhere...Doesn't seem to be anything local...

Never thought about that one-----I guess it could work as last ditch effort---

Why would one choose to go this route rather than just leaving the xp3 running as is?

Are we talking only for bio load reasons here.....

PUT ALL your media from the sump into the tank.....if you use bio balls, go buy a seine net and put all the bio balls there...

Use the XP3 as circulation and the bio media will sustain the benefical bacteria.

My sump has water actually-------My overflow does not....So media is staying wet-But it's not seeing any oxygen.....or circulation----

How long will my media be good for everyone?
