I just wanted to give props to www.monsterfishrescue.com. I have been trying to find a good home for my giant gourami for a few months now. I originally rescued the fish about a year ago. I planned on finding it a better home than I could provide in my 210. Unfortunately I was never able to.
I contacted mfr the middle of last week. He returned my e-mail within a few hours. He told me that he could help me and we would just have to make arrangements to get it there. Once all was said and done he ended up driving almost three hours each way and I drove about two hours each way. All he asked for was a very small donation for gas.
I met him at a Subway in Senecaville Ohio with his two beautiful little helpers. I gave him the fish, he did a partial water change and we talked fish for a few minutes, very, very nice guy.
For the time being the fish (who his helpers named Bert) will be living in his 1500 gallon tank. It will most likely be moving to a 22,000 gallon tank at the Cleveland Metroparks Museum in the near future though.
Here he was in my tank.
Here he is in his new temporary home.
Anyway, thanks again mfr!!!
