I started a new project today. i finally took the plunge and started a plywood tank.
I hard a very hard time deciding on size. i needed a tank with at least a 36inch width and 48inch length. height was not important. I initially wanted a 8x4x2 foot tank, but had to cut back considerably due to limited tank space. i also didnt want to go too big as this is my first one.
so i went with 60 inches long, 38 inches wide, and 25 inches tall. approx 237gals
The product i choose to seal the tank with is called Zavlar by liquid rubber, and can be seen here:

On with the build, pics are worth a thousand words, so i'll keep it short.
PICS!!!!!
The wood, cut to size
The top brace with a 6 inch lip all around and a 6 inch thick center brace ready to be cut
then cut
The front viewing area with a 3 inch frame ready to be cut
then cut
box put together
Tank on its side to dry fit the top brace to insure it will fit... it does.
And then the top brace loosly placed on the tank to give an idea of what it will look like when done.
