Finally my 200 gallon setup is finally complete. This is setup is really special to me cause most everything was DIY, minus the tank. Hope you guys like it.
I would first of all like to thank Xuyen (xman) for helping me make my stand canopy. That guy is like a drill instructor barking orders, I thought he was going to whip me at some point. With his expertise and strict order, the job got done.
It was a 2 week process. We worked on it for probably a week in total though
After the stand and canopy was complete. I started to make my own Wet/Dry filter. I scored a free 60 gallon tank on Craigslist that would do the job. Went to a glass shop and had them cut me pieces of glass that I would use as dividers. Also had them cut me ¼ acrylic to make the drip tray.
From there I started to paint the back of the tank a Flat Black
Today I got off work early, so I decided that I would finish the plumbing and get this thing done and over with.
Drilled the return hole in the overflow box for the bulkheads and locklines
Then worked on the Durso Standpipe for the drains into the filter
From there it was just adding all the fitting, connecting the plumbing and making sure the filter worked right. With that checking out nicely, the next move was for any leaks in the plumbing. That panned out nicely, so now were in business!!!
The tank is 200 gallons measure 69L x 22W x 30.
