Howdy,

I started out in April with six Pygo. pirayas. They have been growing nicely since:

  • April 2.5''
  • June 4''
  • September 5-6''
I lost one piraya in August while I was on a business trip. I had prepared daily rations for my neighbor to feed to them, but as Liz says:"it seems when the person they are most familiar with is not around then they wither away and become frustrated attacking each other.... ". Must be the slight change in their routine, feeding schedule, whatever. I had expected to lose one or two, but it's always a disappointment when it happens.

Here are a few pics. Including a piece of tilapia that I wrestled away from them after a few bites to takes measurements :D

Nice set up for them mate. Interesting thoughts on how a change of routine affects them.
