This is a continuation from this thread: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306989

I'm new to raising fish and had some Corys unexpectedly spawn last week. They started hatching a week ago today. I've got them in a spare 6 gallon tank along with a heater, sponge filter, and plant to help suck up some nitrate. I've been feeding them frozen baby brine shrimp and Hikari First Bites. They seem to be doing pretty well and growing fast. I'm going to need to find a new tank before long.

You can check them out here:

I should pick up a wireless security camera for my tank =P

It's a Linksys WVC54GCA. I have it port forwarded through my network running off of a dynamic DNS alias from dynDNS http://www.dyndns.com/ that's configured on my router (not at the camera because the camera's dynDNS function sucks). I then pick up the feed and display it on my website with a bit of PHP code.

It works pretty well. The camera has a lot of image options to play around with to get the feed quality just the way you want it.

I'm not sure what I did to make the Corys spawn. I did plant a lot of plants recently and a day before they spawned I did my normal weekly water change. I've read that doing a water change with cooler water can trigger a spawn. I guess mine were just feeling happy and frisky.

Thanks for the views and complements everyone!

Basically you have to get a shoal with both genders, condition them with good food, and perform a water change with cooler water, as Haberdasher mentioned.

Good luck Haberdasher, awesome fish cam.
