I'm setting up my 360 next to my 450 in my living room - cool wife :)

I just recently moved to a new house and the 360 came with me. Below is a picture of it in the wall at my old house. It was actually in a computer "nook" that I framed in to the celling making it look like an "in the wall tank".

Now that it's moved I needed a stand. I had a metal stand welded with 2X2 square tubular stock. I intend to skin it with 3/4 ply and some doors in the future.

My living room is plumbed with a 1.5" drain line to the yard for the 450. I extended that line to the 360 and I drilled a hole in the bottom of the 360 for a 1.5 inch bulkhead and plumbed that to the drain. Just incase there's issues I can drain this baby in 5 minutes. Also this will be perfect for a drip system, giving the tank a gallon or so an hour of fresh water.

This is a tall tank so I want to do some kind of bio tower to utilize the drop the water is going to take to the sump. The last picture is an old acrylic 55 and a bio tower just resting on it. I'm sort of in the planning stages on how to plumb this. I may need help/suggestions in this area.

Also I have two 1.5 inch holes in the back panel of the tank. They are for the old over flow/sump system. I want to keep these holes and add 1 more, closer to the surface to skim the surface water to keep the oils and crap off the surface. This was an issue last time this tank was set up and I want to correct that.

FYI: This is my 450 thread:

NICE!

I'm thinking about buying a new house. It has an unfinished basement, and I already got my fiance's permission to finish it out as a fish room :)....

Can't wait to see the updates!

BTW, how much deeper (front to back) and longer is the 450 than the 360, because that 360 seems to dwarf the 450 in the pics...

amazing! just curious, how did you reinforce your floors? or is your living room on ground level?

The floors in this area are concrete slab. Yeah, it's on the lower level.

Yeah it does look a lot bigger! LOL

360 is: 6 feet long 27" front to back and 44" deep

450 is: 8 feet long 3 feet front to back and only 30 inches deep
Wow, I can't even imagine a tank that's almost 4 feet tall . That's almost twice as tall as my 220g (at 24").

Hope I get a chance to have some monster tanks like that if I move into this new house...

LOL To be honest it's too deep! It looks great but almost impossible to get anything done on the bottom of the tank. I actually got a professional snake grabber to get stuff off the bottom of the tank, dead fish, suction cups, and so on. 30" deep is the perfect depth. If I ever order a new tank, 36" will be the deepest I go, period.
