I made this thread on AC already but after being a lurker of this forum for a while I figured I'd post something and hopefully get some help/ideas.

I recently sold off the last of my bigger tanks (since I'm going away to college in a few months) and bought my last small tank. I decided to do a 3D background with a few caves. I'm almost finished with the background (waiting to see if the pH will drop or if I'll need to coat it with epoxy), and even though it's a while away I'm starting to think about what to stock it with. My only real hookup is that the background takes up a bit of space, so i'm not getting the full 10 gallon footprint.

(sloppy look of cement was on purpose even if it didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped)

anyway could use some help on the stocking. I'm wanting it simple, probably just a pair of fish (no schooling fish). I don't want to do scarlet badis since I have sb tanks already, I'm thinking maybe another badis species (It's really difficult to find good info on badis), a wild type betta pair (trio), some small cichlid, or possibly peacock gudgeons. I know they can all fly in a 10 gallon but with the actual space I'm a little more concerned. Anyway any help/ideas on the stocks appreciated, Thanks.

Thanks FatHmongKid

I love freshwater puffers but already have DP's, and don't really want more of them. I know some people say some of the larger ones (like Red eyes) can go in a 10, but they're all waste machines and I want the tank to look nice between waterchanges aswell. haha
