I had a work meeting in downtown Indy yesterday and set-up a meeting with a local breeder I have known just over a year (nothing wrong with work paying me mileage to pick up fish!). I picked up 6 new guys for my 220 Tanganyika tank. Right now they are in my 29 gallon quarantine tank, as part of my 1-2 week minimum quarantine period (even from trusted sources).

Altolamprologus Compressiceps Male

Altolamprologus Compressiceps Female

The pair together

Neolamprologus Pulcher (Daffodil Brichardi - Yellow Fin) - 2M and 2F

The breeder told me the Alto Compressiceps are mwela orange and will color once in the permanent tank for a little while. They seem a little dark to me, but he has been a straight-shooter to my brother and I for over a year, so we will see.

I can't wait to get these guys in my 220 with my other Tangs!

Looking good boss. Gold heads?

I agree with you 100% about the mandatory quarantine period.
He said they were mwela orange, but I am not sure. I will give them some time to adjust to my tanks.

Yes, that is my policy after the summer when I brought home a Benga Peacock from a trusted LFS. It died within a week and started the "Great Southern Trendkill" in my malawi tank. Of course, I only lost my top tier fish. The mid-level ones were just fine.

Sweet Brian, I just picked up a new fella today too, a N. Caudopunctatus, he has been a resident of my lfs for almost 6 months and I decided to take him home today.
Those are pretty cool. What do you have in your tang tank?

Next week, I am getting 3 Neolamprologus Leleupi. They are the final fish I plan to add to my tang tank.
