i put my own little twists to these traps. :D
i cut off the cap end so the hole is bigger "bigger fish".
then i cut the bottom and top off a 2L and used it to make the traps longer.
if you cut the cap end off you have to make the exit bigger "see pics".
and on the other trap i made 2 entries and a trap door in the middle to get the fish out.
i used garbage bag ties "its not like im losing anything if they rust" lol
and to make all the holes i used a soldering gun, fast and easy.
just figured i would show my ideas.
will let ya know how it goes and what one does better.

Awesome dude. Ingenuity! Just make sure the trap is less then 36”
It’s some kind of law.

How much are the zip ties?
Do they sell 3 liters anymore?
I think my soldering gun broke. When I plug it in, it doesn’t get hot. It’s like 25 yrs old.

I forgot, that bigger opening may mean more fish escape.
& i think you have to release all game fish caught like this including
bass, , pike...Bluegill

Small Native Freshwater Fish

"Bluegill or Bream (Lepomis macrochirus) to over 10 inches. Vertical bars on body and a dark spot on the rear edge of the soft dorsal fin. Game fish with collection and bag limits.":(
