I have the stand mostly completed apart from the access doors on the front for the wet/dry sump ( it needs to be built also). The frame of the stand is hardwood and is clad in 3/4'' ply, I used angle brackets to secure 2 of the front supports instead of jointing them in so they could be removeable incase large scale access to the sump was needed.

I'll post more pics of the build of the tank it's self as it starts to come together.

The tank should be on the order of 150-180 gal, it'll be on a timber floor so I can't go silly on the size unfortunatly (that'll be for a later, basement project:naughty:)

Teaser update pic, the tank walls, base and back tacked together to confirm fit, the perspective makes it look monsterous on the stand but that's because the full overhang is towards the front, in it's final form the tank will overhang the stand about 2'' front and back and 1'' each side.

Not all the vertical height is for water since the hood is going to be intergrated into the tank as one unit.

more to come...

Are the braces 2x4 or 4x4?
