i used liquid nail to seal/hold the 2" pvc going through my pond liner and wood.
after a year of water/weather/bumping it,its leaking.
can anyone recommend something better to seal/hold the pvc in?
heres a pic to visualize it.
thanks in advance
Ahh.. you mean the bond between the liner and the overflow tube?
I would suggest a flange on both sides and make a gasket of silicon between them. That way there is a little bit of flex and it's less likely to break ?
When youre going through the side of a pond or such like its tempting to just cut a hole and push the pipe through but even with sealer it will eventually fail most times.
What you really should use is a tank connector. The tank connector has two flanges in and outside the tank which screw together through the hole. Along with a good silicone it will provide a sound and long lived seal.

i get it,but i dont get it.lol
can someone find a pic of what im looking for and/or a pic of it in use?
does it just slip over my pipe or is it all new parts?
ok so im going to look at lowes today for some kind of flange.
if i get a bolt on one, what do i use to bolt it on with? stainless steel bolts/screws?
and should i use just silicone?or just gasket material? or both between the flange and pondliner?
thanks in advance
