This is my latest acquisition - a young African FeatherFin Knife (Papyrocranus afer). Eventually it will get a bit over 30 inches so it has a lot of growing to do! It was in a small tank with two other Featherfins which is generally NOT a very good idea - so all three of them had the ends of their 'tails' bitten off. This was the best of the bunch and I'm hoping the damaged section will regenerate. Still....not bad for $14.99 U.S. (discounted from $29.99 due to the injured 'tail'.

Nice! In the late 1980s, long before the ascendance of tank size Nazism, I kept a 16" P. afer in a 55 gallon tank and fed it. . . gasp. . . live feeder goldfish. :22_yikes:
