Is there a certain size to vent them or they pretty much like Malawi cichlids and can be vented at 3inches and bigger?

Click to expand... Is it easier to snatch the fish up and vent? I can do it during my next water change and it'll be easier to grab. Im definitely thinking female due to the shape of the head being more a torpedo shape and rounded fins.
