Final Tank Setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its a shame you are dropping out for while, the scape in that tank was very impressive for a young fairly inexperienced guy.
Still you have to do what you have to do, i would suggest a small basic tank as others have, just a 20G with some guppies and cories will only take 30mins a week to look after and keep you on the scene.
During my late teens and early 20s i found having a tank was a calming influence in all the excess and chaos. I enjoyed having a tank as it was a small part of my life that was just for me, didnt involve work, idiot friends or girls. It was always cool to do a WC and spend an afternoon by myself driving around cruising the LFS , listen to some music and chill. Might be worth considering as a break from what looks like a fairly busy schedule.

Thank you for the kind words! I do hope to get back into the hobby with a tank around that size. When I return to the hobby, I don't want to go bigger immediately; I want to start reasonably and work my way up to a proper Monster Fish Keeper's tank. (Plus, it might be the only thing I can afford once I move out of my parents' house, lol.)

Just finished breaking down the tank and cleaning it.

The LFS that I took my fish to was super friendly. They said they would put my Discus pair and maybe my Geo into their display tank (meaning they probably won't sell them) and also that they would sell the fish that had paired up (such as my Striped Raphs and my Dwarf Acaras) as pairs so hopefully they won't be separated. I feel much better knowing that my fish will be in good hands (at least for now).

Just wanted to give a small update on that. :)

I suggest making a new thread on which you share the progress of your hamster and/or your other animals.
BTW i also suggest NOT asking the mods to close this thread since it will be a memorable day when you start posting the updates of your fish on this same thread a few years later.
