Got a new marbled female! im sort of excited and worried at the same time. I got her today as she litterally just came from either malaysia, china or wherever the shop brought it from. shes big and she looks nice but she seems to have a little bit of fin rotting and she's skinny and lethargic. She is pretty big though. I dripped her 2 hours, put her in a tank for about 6-7 hours. Still didnt seem to be doing too good. she moved but isnt moving much. not sure if the eyes are glassy but her nose is indented and eyes looked like they are shrunken. doing a big water change now with a capful of melafix and some aq.salt. Tested the water before, 0, 0,5-10ish so i decided to do the water change. 50% of the 300 gallon.
any suggestions?

Get her eating and leave her alone. Keep her in near complete darkness.

dropped an earthworm on top of her before the water change just to see if she was interested. she didnt even move. she only moves when other rays sit on top of her. just finished the water change and now changing the 180 with the motoros i got from sand nukka. they are great and eating. after that turning off all the lights and calling it a day and hope for the best in the morning. prob wont drop a b1 pill inside until i see the results tomorow.

Did you get it straight from the supplier or did the shop throw it in one of their tanks first? I would have separated her from all other fish and kept in complete darkness for several days.

he had it in his tank for less than a day. was at a good price and was selling fast. so i bit the bullet and just brought it home. I normally would let it wait for a few days before taking it home but at the price it was at and how it looked i took the chance. he wouldnt hold it for anyone.

I would never buy a ray before watching it eat. Ever. Especially a transhipped ray. Now it has gone halfway around the world and through 2 very stressful acclimations rather quickly. Prob won't eat for awhile, and your saying it's already skinny. Not a good sign. Hope for the best.
Whenever you are getting fish from non trusted sources, ie other contries, you should never introduce them into your main system with other thriving fish. Quarantine it alone if possible and in a separate system.

+1
You got a tough road ahead. This ray should be by itself for a period of time to have any chance of survival. Good luck.
