H. psittacus - true parrot cichlid - Official Photo Thread

i know there are a few people keeping these guys. here's my big girl. she's about 2.5yrs old. i've had her since sept. 2008 when she was about .5". she's now pushing a good 11". she came from a spawn of the psittacus that peter now owns. JD, jgenrty, has one or more of the ones i grew out too now. the pic of her in my avatar is when she was about 7"

Yep. She seems to have stopped growing at 10", but he just keeps getting bigger and thicker.

Mine came to me in January at about 1". I kept the biggest for my 210 gallon and the rest went to John (snookn21). Here's the one I kept:
