I feed my puffer the snails and of course they wouldn’t eat the shells and the tank gets messed up everyone they eat 50 snails. How do I remove the broken shells and they are sharp and I feel they hurt my sucker fishes when they roll over them. I tried to suck them with siphoning but the broken shell doesn’t not come up.
Any idea?

thanks

Do you have gravel or fine sand in your tank?

A larger diameter siphon hose would probably work better, I like using 1/2'" diameter hose and just siphon into a bucket.

If you have a fine sand, a small kitchen strainer might work if the sand will fit through the strainer.

My fahaka rules the tank, and she knows it well. She is happy everytime i use a chopstick to remove the shells in the tank, she usually stays calm and watch from afar

Put your hard in the tank remove them. Use a small net to net it out. Really many ways of removing it. Not difficult at all really
