Oscar tank size

Oh that’s perfect, the electric blue acara is the one i want to. Those get about what 6 inches? I was thinking a couple of those and another ebjd, that’ll make 4 total. That should be good for a 90 right?

EBA can get good size. I've had females at 6" and a male at 8". Also, they can be semi aggressive with certain tankmates. Very lively, attentive and intelligent fish. They will happily shred some plants when nesting.

Okay ty, great to know. Ill do one electric blue acara to go with my electric blue jack. Not sure if my ebjd is a male or female. Hes young to. He about 2 inches now. Anyway to tell?

As juvies I could never tell. As adults the females have more oval rounded shape and a smaller top fin. Males a bit more elongated and slightly boxy with a larger top fin. They are equally colorful.

oh okay, thats easy enough then. Ill just wait til he get bigger to find out. The acaras the same way? Much easier than oscars eh? Haha
