I’m currently running a few pleco tanks and am interested to know what dither fish people keep in their pleco tanks. Also is there a reason why you keep that particular fish as a dither?
At the moment for my smaller plecos 134s, 201s and 397 I keep Corys and rainbows with them. The Corys however aren’t too keen on the high water temps but they do a great job at breaking up all the debris the plecos leave laying around. The tanks with the Corys seem to stay a lot cleaner than the ones without. The rainbows also aren’t that keen on the hot water but are something colorful to swim around.
In a larger tank I’ve got some 114s and leucosticta only trouble is the 114s like strong current and the leuco’s like slower flowing water. With only 7 fish in a 6 foot tank though its going pretty well at the moment.
