I am very much interested in raising a salt water shark. I am just not sure where to start. I have many years of raising tropical fresh water fish, but I would like to get into salt water. My main interest in salt water fish is sharks. I have always liked sharks, but I never tried to raise one. Please help me out everybody. I need experienced people that have raised sharks for some information. Thanks.

All depends on the size of your tank, but assume a start of around 400 gallons for the smallest of species. Up to about 1000 gallons, your options are limited for the life of the shark. Any of the swimming species will require minimum 10,000 gallons for a single adult. Think swimming pool sized tank, and larger.

Bamboo sharks or catsharks are you best bet. But as posted, think of about 400 gallons as a starting point.
Just as I was thinking 'ask matt'..............

LOL, Naw get a Tiger, or wait, better yet a whale shark. Ya, a whale shark would be a great wet pet.
