I moved all of my discus to one tank for some another projects (About Polypterus species obviously).
Hope I can get some clues about the gender of this Royal specimen while they are in there.

Gorgeous fish. Hope you have some luck with them. How big are they out of curiosity? They look about 8 inches or more? I have 3 of my own, not sure if will caught, could very well be though. Rescued from a store awhile ago and were terrible body condition. Most of the ones I see about 3 to 5 inches generslly are for some reason. Since then I have turned them into voracious eaters and finally fattened them up. Have probably grown a little as well. Definitely hoping to have them breed in future as they are my favortite. Ill end up moving them if they ever get to that point. Good luck with them.

Thank you very much.

My fish are about 16~18cm long, not really big (Wild Discus from Cuipeua region usually grow bit smaller than other regions) and most of domestic strains don't grow very large as well. (20cm fish are usually considered as monster size)

Try to feed them often as you can while they are on growing mode, and also do bit more water change.
Water change is also very imprtant as feeding on growth of discus.

Hope you have a good luck with your discus too!

Yeah I do water changes about every other day, also constantly checking water chemistry. Only issue I've had is algae build up but I think its due to super strong light. Currently working on fixing that. And yeah I am constantly feeding them trying to pack on weight. They were way to skinny when I purchased them. Thx for advice.
