If you cross BD with Pearl how do you get the decedents to have paddle tails?

If you cross BD with Pearl how do you get the decedents to have paddle tails? Is it a ration or percentage say 75 percent BD 25 percent pearl produce paddle tails like the BD or is it just a crap shoot some may have pearl features and some may have BD.
