Erythrinus Erythrinus (Red Wolf Fish) Tankmates?

I have an wolf fish upstairs but have to remove all tanks upstairs. He has his own 20 long and is about 5-6" long. I want to move him down to the 55g, but im afraid he will eat everything, as he even bites me when i do water changes In my 55g are 3 4" Dats, cories, plecos, a blue gularis, a few rainbow fish and a pair of swords. Im really only worried about the dats, gularis and plecos, what do you think?

I wouldn't he would eat/kill alot of your fish the dats would get the crap kicked out of them i would just keep it in the 20 gallon for as long as you can it will last a while in there try and get it its own tank eventually

I keep mine with smaller bichirs and a rope fish, he chases them but nothing too drastic. Then again he doesn't bite me sooo....

Did you get it at Forest Lake Pets? I got one too. I've held him temporarily with other fish and never bothers anything he can't eat. Never even tried to keep him with smaller fish, but he's with an ornate bichir now and they do fine.

First, thanks for the responses everybody! I think he might have to be alone.

Devon, i did get him at Forest Lake. How often do you go up there, maybe we can carpool. I often have to make trips to get gambusia as feeders to fatten up my dats, and FL is the only pet shop i trust to no introduce a bunch of diseases to my tank.

he cant eat them and will leave them alone once he figures it out.

Wonword- sorry man, but I've only been there once. I'm in St. Paul as well and it's a long haul. Might go again some time if I'm looking for something new. I like this store much more than the overpriced World of Fish.
