Odd you guys call those snapper species carp. In english carp are referred to many cyprinidae species, totally unrelated to snapper. Are they caught in freshwater? Do they live in freshwater their entire lives?

Lutjanus jocu is always found in saltwater, sometimes in low rate salted water. Same for Lutjanus griseus.
