shovelnose is not native to here, so, if i did get one i wouldn't put it in this tank
Is this tank just for a specific region of North America? Shovelnose live throughout a pretty large area of the US

just the midwest I suppose, though I've never seen a shovel nose in minnesota, wisconson, north dakota, south dakota and i've spend a good amount of time in those states

ya fishing can get boring, i fish with lures so its a little more interesting.... I completely agree with you, watching fish grow up especially when they get over 10 inches is one of the best parts of owning an aquarium... Im looking forward to seeing some more pictures of you native tank and i will send you a picture of an adult 3.5lb largemouth bass i caught if i can figure out how lol!

A small shovelnose would be 18". They have a maximum size of 36". Unless you have a 500+ gallon tank, these are not an aquarium fish.
yeah, i just saw another thread where andyjs was telling them to keep a shovelnose, i think he just goes around telling people to try that fish lol

Hey Amber! Scaping looks really good.. even with fake plants.. I'm just not a huge fan of them..

PFS, I'm assuming?

Great job overall!
