New species of arowana from Myanmar, looks very different

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good to hear Hao. Are these illegal for import like the asian aros?

Maybe one of these days the US will realize the asian aros are now being bred in farms and that they still exist in the wild. Maybe then we will be allowed to have the most sought after aros....
Yes. They are illegal. Myanmar is part of Asia. So they are Asian Aros. :)

I guess only the Batik Aro is Scleropages inscriptus. The Nami Green Aro is just a variant of the Green?
Nami is a place in Myanmar...

so this is the new kind of aro that we all know for over 5 years! I think they just have the scientific name now!

Thats what i thought too but i had people arguing with me that the nami and batik are different. They look pretty alike to me

They are different. One is from Malay and one is from Myanmar. They both have snakeskin but I notice that Batik develop more gold and have something like a 5th level shine of an HBRTG.
