Yup, thats where I usually put it...so for the past 2 weeks I have been smelling something, I thought it was coming from the sink, then I thought it was the fish food, etc. So while doing water changes tonight I smelled it again, even worse... So I decided to put all the food under the 265...as I was getting the food out, the shrimp was in the back... cant beleive I did that

uggghh that had to be bad! Reminds me the time my friends dropped some raw meat between the counter and stove at their frat house a few years back.. Bad didn't describe it.
Man those longears are insane! I wish we had some of those around here, I may have to take a road trip to a neighboring state for a few bream.
Well I didnt get what I went after, creek was still muddy, I had a few gar on but no hook set, caught two more longears and a nice channel cat
I surely hope that you have a UVB light for the turtle, as well as a heat lamp for it's basking area. Just saying. and you should definitely make sure that it's getting a calcium supplement. And you should definitely make sure that it is getting a balanced diet, they're generally omnivorous.
