Wow nice tanks guys, especially the heavily planted ones...I've thinking about a Native Species tank but I think a lot of native fishes are not allowed to be tanked up for hobby. Calif Fish & Game prohibits transporting live trouts, sunfish, bass, and sturgeon. So they have to die in your bucket after you fish them out.

Great tank... love the GTs.... question for ya.... are those leaves real?? how are they attached etc and do you have to replace them (if they are real)... i like the look they provide...
Thanks for the compliment :)

Yes, they are real and they're called turkey oak leaves. They do look good and it provides some health benefits to the fish.

I just drop them in the tank and they eventually drop to the bottom. Replacing them is needed because it starts to disintegrate into the water and a lot of leaf litter is left behind. You can leave it in if you like that look or take it out before it starts getting torn apart.

I usually drop in new leaves every 3-4 weeks.

Here are my 55 and 75....

I like your tanks! I think the scaping is unique :D
