Yes still have the Wels. It's in the pond so can see it at the moment, with the weather how it is. Pond needs bit if a clean out tbh, it's filthy.
If love to see a larger Sperata. Mine was extremely active from what I can remember. I've only ever seen the one I had.
I may pass on the Wallago Attu for the mean time. I'm enjoying the Cichlids at the moment. Although I'm getting a bit excites about snakeheads at the moment. I've been partial to Leiarius Pictus for a long time just never readily seen the available.

Sorry if you've addressed this before, but I'm not looking back thru 300 pages to find the answer!!
In your first post you said "I honestly only expected it to hold water for about 10 years, so I am doing better than expected." What is the reason behind this? You mentioned something about the steel above the waterline rusting, how is that holding up? What is the long-term prognosis for the tank?

The tank is in it's 19th year now.
I have controlled to some degree the steel rusting but it will only be a matter of time before it will weaken.
At some point I will lower the water level due to metal fatigue. I expect/hope the tank will still hold a respectable amount of water and house the fish that are in it for hopefully their complete lives. I have seen public aquariums that have experienced problems so I have always been realistic with life expectancy with my tanks.
BTW My sister is leaving on the 26th to go to kiwi land. My niece is teaching school there.

Nice, where abouts in NZ? Everyone that visits seems to think it is a beautiful place, but from what I've seen of Canada (that's where you are eh?) to me it doesn't seem all that special. That said, I love our mild climate and relatively low population, just a shame about the lack of fish!
19 years seems like a good run, I often look at the DIY projects on here and wonder how long some of them last, yours would certainly be one of the oldest I've seen. How will you know when the metal fatigue is at a point where the water level needs to be lowered?
I guess with the design even if you had to reduce the water level down to the bottom of the windows you could make an amazing terrarium above the water level and start keeping reptiles too!

Now that is simply amazing! I envy you soooo much. I can barely handle my small tank and can't imagine the time, effort and energy to keep up with your pet project!?!?!?!?!
