Has the lump gone down at all? I know with larger red tails its fairly simple to just pump their stomachs or pull the object out. This will probably do more harm then good for one at that size though

No its just kinda staying there. Its been a few days. The snail was about the size of a quarter. Sucks too because even though he was a little snail he kept most the alge ate off the glass. I thought about trying to see if I couldnt get the snail out but im like you I figured Id kill him in the process. I was kinda hopeing he would just throw it up if its not hung inside him.

That's unfortunate; if his health starts to deteriorate you might have to take the risk. Can you post some pics?

Sorry I havent responded in a few days. Been busy but ole cat daddy seems to be doing great. Knot has went down in his belly. Him and his tank mates have been enjoying their monthly gold fish feast today. I havent figured out how to post pics yet but hopefully I willl sonn as I would like to share my interest with others of this forum.

Joined this forum hoping to learn more about my cat but after reading all 38 pages on this thread it seems they are rare here as well.
After searching online for around a year all I can find Is that he appears to be a sperata aor and he Is a big hungry boy.

Any more info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

this is him at 20" about 4 months ago. he I about 23" now.
