I purchased two Astyanax aenues from Jeff Rapps and was won over by these greedy little whirlwinds from the first day I got them. They are insanely active little predators who have literally eaten anything I have offered: flakes, pellets, sinking pellets, bloodworms, shrimp, chopped worms and mussels, etc. I was blown away by their abilities as predators when I watched one who is about three inches snatch and completely chomp down a feeder minnow of about two inches itself. These guys don't have huge mouths so it was that much more impressive. I was wondering what other hobbyists' experiences have been with these guys and if others have enjoyed them as much as I have so far? Thanks for any feedback!
